As a Visual FoxPro (VFP) professional, you’re skilled in creating reliable applications and managing databases efficiently. You excel in coding, debugging, and ensuring performance. With expertise in database management and generating reports, you’re capable of meeting diverse client needs. Your knowledge includes version control and basic web development, and you prioritize security and quality. Continuously learning, you stay updated on industry trends to enhance your skills.


Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Visual FoxPro (VFP) applications to meet client requirements and support business objectives.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VFP applications, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes effectively.
• Ensure the integrity and security of VFP databases by managing data effectively and implementing appropriate access controls.
• Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights and support decision-making processes for clients.
• Stay updated on VFP updates, best practices, and industry trends to continuously improve skills and enhance performance.
• Document processes, code changes, and technical specifications to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction with deliverables.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance proficiency and contribute to team success.
• Adhere to project timelines, quality standards, and best practices to deliver high-quality VFP solutions that meet client expectations.

Skillset Requirements:

Visual FoxPro (VFP): Proficiency in VFP is essential, including expertise in writing efficient and error- free code, understanding VFP data structures, and utilizing VFP features for database management and application development.

Database Management: Strong understanding of database management concepts and experience working with databases, including SQL queries, data manipulation, indexing, and optimization.

Programming Languages: In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, VBScript, and JavaScript, which are commonly used in conjunction with VFP for developing comprehensive
solutions.

Integrated Development Environment (IDE): Proficiency in using VFP's integrated development environment for coding, testing, and debugging applications, including familiarity with its various features and tools.

Data Integration: Experience with data integration techniques, including importing/exporting data between different systems, data transformation, and ensuring data consistency and integrity.Reporting and

Analysis: Ability to create reports and perform data analysis using VFP reporting tools or integrating VFP with other reporting solutions for generating insights and facilitating decision-
making.

Web Development: Basic understanding of web development concepts and technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.) to integrate VFP applications with web interfaces or develop web-based components using VFP.
