Job Description

Responsible for engineering telematics solutions for connected vehicle technologies utilizing latest futureproof technologies. Responsibilities include designing/redesigning/refactoring vehicle-cloud and vehicle-mobile communication. Utilize knowledge of in-vehicle embedded systems, electronics and sensor technologies (ECUs, DCM/TCUs, meter clusters) to define/design/optimize vehicle’s connected platform architecture. Perform remote management of the embedded system using IPMI over LAN, SSH, Perl, and Python scripts. Responsible for troubleshooting BT/BLE-based wireless systems. Utilize computer analytics provided by Azure and AWS cloud services to optimize connected services platforms. Create Proof of Concept (PoC) to validate design to reduce technical risk. Utilize APM tools like Datadog and AppDynamics to set up system health dashboards. Create product technical/business documentation on confluence. Analyze industry best practices and plan for product enhancement utilizing seamless authentication, security and convenience. Perform automation for backend/server development and validations using service virtualization. Design Web apps integration framework with Java using TestNG framework. Develop and execute Web services/API scripts and collections using Postman tool. Develop architecture patterns for network communication on new technologies/protocols (IPMI, SSH, WebSockets, HTTP/2). Create PoC to validate design to reduce technical risk. Develop common scripts for mobile automation using frameworks like XCUITest and UIAutomator. Manage test execution using Zephyr and periodic reporting to executive leadership. Design and create load modeling and scripts for performance benchmarking and testing using JMeter or SmartMeter. Design and deploy Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline(s) using Jenkins master instance for build automation and integrate CI pipeline with GIT-based source code management (Bitbucket). Build code using Gradle build tool and cloud-hosted devices.

Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any) or a related field plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience as a Test Analyst or related. Related experience must include Mobile Automation, Performance Testing, Embedded electronic and sensor technologies (ECUs, DCM/TCUs, meter clusters), Communication technologies (IPMI, SSH, WebSockets, HTTP/2), Azure cloud and AWS cloud; test management & reporting. Travel to unanticipated client sites nationally. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
